TERMS & CONDITIONS (WEDDING BOOKING)

The following terms and conditions are set out to be agreed between the Cotswolds Calligraphy and the Client and no modification of this contract shall be effective unless agreed by both parties in writing.

BOOKING & PAYMENT
  • This contract must be signed, and a £100 booking fee must be paid to secure the services of Cotswolds Calligraphy for the Client’s wedding date.

  • Orders to the value of less than £100 must be paid in full at the time of booking.

  • All payments must be made by cash or via online transfer.

  • Any changes made to the stationery can be made up to 6 to 8 weeks prior to the wedding day. Times depend on the scale of the work.

  • It is the responsibility of the Client, either directly or via the Wedding Planner, to confirm the final stationery details in writing, (e.g., colours of place cards, guest names), with Cotswolds Calligraphy.

  • The remaining balance is due four weeks prior to the wedding day.

The booking fee secures the time and services of Cotswolds Calligraphy and is non-refundable and non-transferable in the event of cancellation. The booking fee needs to be paid within 10 working days of the confirmation of appointment of Cotswolds Calligraphy.

Receipt of the booking fee assumes agreement of the Terms and Conditions of Contract. You will have been supplied a copy of these terms and conditions either as a paper copy and/or digitally. Payment of the booking fee will be considered as proof of your acceptance of these terms and conditions if a signed copy is not returned.

If you are booking the services of Cotswolds Calligraphy through a third party, for example, a wedding planner, payment of the booking fee will be taken as proof of your acceptance of these terms and conditions and considered proof that you have received and agreed to these terms and conditions.

If the calligraphy is a gift and the original payer of this gift is unable to pay the balance, the responsibility transfers to the wedding couple and you are responsible for the balance payment.

CANCELLATION OR POSTPONEMENT
  • The booking fee is non-refundable or transferable in the event of the Client cancelling.

  • The Client may cancel this contract at any time by giving written notice by letter or email to Cotswolds Calligraphy, but in doing so shall forfeit any monies paid so far unless within the 14-day ‘cooling off’ period which commences on the date the booking has been accepted by Cotswolds Calligraphy.

  • Cancellation within six weeks or less prior to the wedding day will result in payment in full.

  • If the Client postpones their wedding to a later date, the fee will be retained, provided that Cotswolds Calligraphy can re-schedule to the new date.

  • The fee can only be moved once if the Client decides to postpone their wedding.

  • It is essential to inform Cotswolds Calligraphy as soon as possible of any changes of venues, times, contact details etc in writing. Any alterations made to the booking by the client, once details have been confirmed, may only be made at the discretion of Cotswolds Calligraphy. If unable to accommodate alternative arrangements, (e.g. change of wedding date or venue), Cotswolds Calligraphy is not liable to compensate the client in any way whatsoever.

ADDITIONAL COSTS
  • If the client wishes Cotswolds Calligraphy to hand deliver the stationery to the wedding venue, dependent on availability of Cotswolds Calligraphy, free delivery is available within a 20-mile radius of Cheltenham. Beyond 20 miles., 0.45p per mile is charged. Delivery charges will be estimated and added to the final invoice.

  • If the stationery needs to be posted, Tracked 48 Service postage cost will be added to the final invoice.

  • Any last-minute requests made by the client, that Cotswolds Calligraphy can accommodate, will be invoiced separately.

ATTENDANCE
  • In the unlikely event of Cotswolds Calligraphy not being able to fulfil the Client’s booking due to unforeseen circumstances, Cotswolds Calligraphy reserves the right to appoint another professional calligrapher to complete the booking to the best of their ability on Cotswolds Calligraphy’s behalf. If the booking cannot be fulfilled by another calligrapher, a client may be eligible for a partial refund, once agreed by both parties.

  • Cotswolds Calligraphy will not tolerate any verbal or physically abusive behaviour under any circumstance.

  • If Cotswolds Calligraphy experiences this, it may result to immediate termination of the contract and no refund will be guaranteed and monies paid will be forfeited by the Client.
